BIOGRAPHY

Bill is currently a guest research fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He is also a doctoral candidate in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech. He received his dual master's degrees in Civil Engineering – Infrastructure systems and in Natural Resources and Environment – Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was a practice structural engineer in Hong Kong and Macau and served as the lead engineer for the structure and construction project of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Macau. He developed his interest in resilient, reliable, smart and sustainable (R2S2) infrastructure systems through his academic experience and industry training. He is hoping to impact the concrete industry with novel sustainable technologies.
